- Back into my garage and concentrate on the roll bar
It
takes a little while with the file to get the back sections at the
right width and height. I found a little at a time and take
it steady gets a good fit.

I was
glad I read Mike Bullocks site as he pointed out that the joining
plate sits low in the frame and not the centre and sure enough on
the plans a position of 9/32nds is called out. Measure that
and aligned the plate making sure of hole distance etc then
clamped and drilled away.

Time for the first strap, so I measured a centre
line and two furthers lines 1/8th either side of the centre line.
If I have this strap central and in the right place then this
should show as the gap all the way around the bar. The strap
requires a little trimming to fit and a lot of clamps to hold it
in place.
